Why do we offer you our non-standard parcel delivery service?

“I want to send a package abroad, but the courier companies do not accept because …” “I refused my order because …” “My package did not comply with the rules because …” “I do not dare to send my grandmother’s tableware because … ”

We get desperate messages and phone calls like this and the like that courier companies don’t take their packages because of their automated systems or the need for more careful handling.

Why? Improper size / weight (overweight or oversized package), improper shape, non-stackable, risk of breakage and fragility, or because its packaging is not a standard cardboard box, or simply an abnormal package and we could even list the reasons (eg. here).

Fortunately, many will find us who we can help transport non-standard packages as well!

We do not use a conveyor belt or an automated system during our deliveries, we do not transfer shipments to other cars if possible. It is usually delivered by the car that picked it up. We also try to transport directly, thus minimizing the possibility of possible damage. Our drivers handle packages and shipments carefully and attentively.

We classify a package in our non-standard parcel delivery service that

  • oversized, overweight package
  • volume data and weight data are not proportional to each other, e.g. standard small package but 80 kg or 120 x 110 x 150 cm but 12 kg
  • it is a fragile, fragile package that requires more careful handling than average
  • it cannot be stacked, it cannot be packed on it
  • cannot be clearly determined with three normal sizes
  • special or irregular shape (eg cylinder, pyramid, tube)

Details

In our experience, with proper care and packaging, in many cases a non-standard package can be made into a standard package – using boxes and / or fillers.

We have no influence on what happens inside the box, due to the road conditions, railway crossings, lying police, potholes, proper packaging is essential inside the box as well. When transporting particularly important fragile elements, e.g. porcelain set, plate, glass, vase.

It is recommended to indicate the sender’s and consignee’s details on the packages (printed or with a felt-tip pen: name, exact address, telephone number) and also to indicate the order number. The latter will be replaced by a colleague at the time of recruitment if he is absent.

Hint:
  • A fragile, vulnerable package should always be marked! Write that the bottom and the top should be marked with a fragile or footed arrow.
  • When transporting two or three packages, it is also recommended to label and mark each package separately: e.g. 1448 – 1/3, 1448 – 2/3, 1448 – 3/3

  • We work in a continuous work schedule, the time of pick-up / delivery may be different from the normal (early morning, late evening, taking into account the requests).
  • From the expected time of arrival we will notify you at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Delivery time 1-14 days.
  • We do not use conveyor belts during our shipments, and where possible do not tranship shipments from one van to another. We usually try to make the deliveries with the car that also picked it up – thus minimizing the possibility of damages.
