We transport on a weekly basis to the following countries: to Hungary, to Austria, to Slovakia, to the Czech Republic, to Germany, to the Netherlands, to Belgium, to Luxembourg, to France, to England, to the United Kingdom, to Denmark, to Sweden.

We also transport from Hungary to abroad, from abroad to Hungary or outside Hungary, door to door. So shipments travel thousands of kilometers. Safe and undamaged shipping, on the other hand, depends on the sender of the package as much as the shipping company. This little guide will help you know what to look for when using international shipping.

What can it be packed for?

What we recommend when sending a package: cardboard box, banana box, suitcase, bag, sports bag, travel bag, bag, strong shopping bag, plastic box. – Yes, we undertake to deliver them!

In the case of a plastic box, you need to pay attention to the quality, how the items are packed – because if you can push them in somewhere, the plastic can break easily – you can experience a smooth home environment, either on the side or on the handle parts.
The courier refuses to pick up items unpackaged or packed in nylon garbage bags in all cases.
It seems easy to put things in a garbage bag, but we can’t put these on top of each other, they can’t be placed properly in the car because they slip apart. Plus, they can easily puncture, and the things in it can be damaged.
Cardboard boxes can also be easily obtained from your local convenience store, greengrocer, household or technical store. However, when choosing, pay special attention to its purity and smell. You can also find storage or relocation boxes in home furnishing and DIY stores.
The size of the carton can be any size, depending on the quantity of goods to be sent. What you need to pay attention to is that it is advisable to pack it, otherwise it will be compressed if you put another one on it. It is worth gluing the edges and closures together.

Packaging material, wrapper

  • Cardboard: can be easily obtained from your local grocer, greengrocer, household or technical store. s. However, when choosing, pay special attention to its purity and smell. You can also find storage or relocation boxes in home furnishing and DIY stores. You can not only pack into these, but you can also wrap objects and tools around them when disassembled.
  • Bubble wrap (air-cushion foil): usually available in rolls, suitable for fragile or valuable objects, porcelain, glass, technical items, dishes, etc., for packaging and filling.
  • Wrapping paper, newspaper: for fragile things, plates, vases, glasses, it is worth wrapping it first in paper and then in a box. We recommend patternless wrapping paper because newsprint can easily leave a mark.
  • Nylon pouch: for liquid things.
  • Mattress protector: protection for the mattress against dirt, pests and moisture.
  • Furniture protection: cardboard, corrugated paper, nylon, furniture protector.
  • Styrofoam sheet: for packaging technical things.
  • Clothing, textiles, towels
  • Good quality adhesive tape: the bottom of the boxes must also be secured so that they do not slip apart under the weight. It is also good for closing cabinets and drawers.
  • Felt-tip pen: for labeling the sender and recipient, for writing the order number. If you have several boxes or moves, you may want to write the contents on them to make it easier to unpack.

What to watch out for when packing

  • The maximum weight of the standard package can be 30 kg. If your package weighs more than this, put it in separate boxes.
  • If a package, goods, product or device weighs more than 30 kg, choose our non-standard parcel delivery. Eg small package, contains one product but weighs 50 kg (overweight package).
  • Huge boxes, packages, even if light weights, also fall into the non-standard package category, e.g. 150 x 120 x 100 cm box, which is only 15 kg (oversized package). Whatever it is, because of its size and weight, it doesn’t matter where and how we place it in the joint.
  • Heavy things should be placed at the bottom of the package and light ones at the top, which is vulnerable by wrapping it separately in the middle.
  • For fragile, fragile packages, write on the package whether it is fragile or vulnerable.
  • Use the arrow on the box to indicate which is the bottom and top.
  • The box must bear the name, city (possibly telephone number) of the consignee, the name, city (possibly telephone number) of the consignor and the order number in printed or felt-tip pen.
  • When transporting several packages, it is recommended to label and mark each package separately: e.g. 448 – 1/3, 448 – 2/3, 448 – 3/3.

Label packages in all cases! At least the sender’s name, city + recipient’s name, city + order number must be on it!

Who packs the shipment?

99% of our customers take care of the packaging, as more time is available, so they can pack more thoroughly. If required, we also undertake packaging, in which case we must notify us in advance, because we have to calculate more time to pick up the shipment, and we also have to bring the appropriate packaging materials with us – the packaging has an extra charge.

Packaging and transport of glass, fragile, liquid goods

We do not use a conveyor belt during our deliveries, we do not reload shipments to other cars if possible. It is usually delivered by the car that picked it up. We try to deliver directly, thus minimizing the possibility of possible damage. Our drivers handle packages and shipments carefully and attentively. But they travel for a long time among other packages, whatever can push, and the vibration due to the quality of roads, road conditions, railway crossings, lying police, potholes is a real source of problems.

We have no influence on what happens inside the box, which is why proper packaging is also essential inside the box.

If you want to send something liquid (eg jam, perishable food, syrup, honey) or a fragile thing: support it with cloth (even a T-shirt, socks), blister, styrofoam, cardboard. If it is in a bottle, you can use a plastic container instead. Be careful not to crack the glass when packing, as a little pressure is enough to break it.
In case of liquid stuff, be it in the plastic container, put it in a separate nylon bag or pouch before putting it in the box. If anything gets upset, it flows out, it doesn’t flow to the other things because the bag prevents it.
Proper packaging is also the key to fragile things: individually inside the box, with cloth, cardboard, blister, styrofoam, paper.
Pack kitchen utensils, plates, glasses, vases, tableware, coffee tea sets, in newsprint, you can use corrugated paper among them for vibration damping and stiffening. In the case of plates, you can also place one plastic or paper plate between two porcelain plates and, if possible, pack them with your edges.
Write on the box in large letters that it is fragile and it is worth marking with an arrow which is the bottom and top of the box.
We can only be held liable for damage if the packaging is correct – which is also valid inside the box.

Fragile, fragile packages are classified as non-standard packages, but in our experience, with proper care and packaging, in many cases it is also possible to make a standard package from a non-standard package using filler materials.

If you have a fragile, fragile package that you feel needs to be handled more carefully than average, or cannot be packed on it, be sure to let us know in advance and it is recommended that you use our non-standard parcel delivery service.

Packaging and delivery of special things

We have tips not only for parcel delivery, but also for non-standard, special, special shipments.

The best solution is factory packaging. It is a good idea to keep the cardboard box of the devices and fold them away. If the original packaging is not available, a box of similar size is required.

In the absence of a box, or if the device, object or product requires something else, it is necessary to wrap it around it, with bubble wrap, cardboard, corrugated cardboard, other materials and, if required, put it in a box. If possible, keep a grip on it to make packing easy. For example, a separate box is not required for furniture.

Tv, monitor delivery

They are considered special shipments, because although they are in a box, their handling requires special treatment. For example, we can’t put the bottom of the packages in the van so that all the weight is on it, and it’s not good to decide on the go. The best thing about these is the delivery in the factory packaging. If this is not the case, a fibreboard or plastic sheet must be attached to the front of the screen and wrapped in blister film and wrapped in this way.

Plant transport

Although not closely related to parcel transport, we need to talk about it. We do not usually undertake the transport of houseplants for thousands of km, as they suffer from changes in sensitive organisms, temperature and lack of sunlight; or it is difficult to pack them in such a way that they will not be damaged, as they may tip over in a cardboard box. We usually undertake short-term transportation, or in the case of a full car relocation, when transportation is done directly from one address to another.

The following products are considered special shipments

  • painting delivery
  • sculpture, artwork, vase delivery
  • artwork delivery
  • instrument delivery, e.g. guitar, harp, cello, drums, drum kit, violin, double bass, synthesizer
  • transport of motor vehicle parts, additional body parts, e.g. emergency, rim, hood, door, roof rack, bicycle
  • storage (move and parcel)
  • IT device delivery, e.g. laptop, computer, monitor
  • household appliance transport, e.g. refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher, dryer, gas stove, stove
  • entertainment, electronic equipment delivery, e.g. LCD TV, television, speaker
  • sports equipment delivery, e.g. fitness machine, fitness machine, exercise bike, treadmill, elliptical trainer
  • stroller delivery
  • electric car for children, large children’s toy transport, etc.

We treat them accordingly. They require more than average attention and care – because of their handling, transport, storage or packaging. Here, safe and undamaged transport no longer depends on the packaging, but also on the transport company.

The special shipment is not a problem either!

The following are also considered special:

However, we all need different data for bidding and shipping, so for ease of use, we’ve created separate pages for them where you can read specifically about that type of shipping. If you click on its name you can see it!

If the packaging is wrong…

Our courier may warn the sender that the packaging of the goods is not suitable or damaged in order to use the parcel delivery. The consignor may arrange for appropriate packaging on site accordingly. Otherwise, our courier will record this fact on the waybill to rule out a subsequent complaint. In critical cases, the courier may refuse to pick up the package. This is important because if the packaging is not correct, the items in the package may be damaged, the contents may be overwhelmed, they may be compressed, or they may be damaged in other packages.

Packaging is the basis for damage-free delivery!

Why is it important to pay attention to the packaging?

Proper packaging is the basis for damage-free shipping. The integrity of the items in the packaging is guaranteed, the sender can do this thoroughly. Attention must be paid to both the outer packaging and the inside of the package. We also undertake packaging, but in this case it comes with extra cost and time.

Weighing packages

For delivery, we need both the weight and size of the package to ensure a smooth delivery. You can measure the latter with a centimeter tape or even a ruler, we need all 3 data (length, width, height) to be able to calculate how much space you need in the cargo space.
You can determine your weight with a room scale: either you put the package on it, or you first step on the scale without the package and then with the package – and subtract your weight from the second value.

Make sure that the weight of the package does not exceed 30 kg, because this is the limit that our couriers can still handle and move safely.

If the package size and weight change…

Thanks to the routine, our couriers know at a glance or by moving the package whether the package is the right size and weight for the data submitted in the order.
If you notice a difference when picking up the package, the delivery fee will be adjusted according to the actual data. In the event of a major discrepancy, our courier may also refuse to pick up the shipment. In such cases, it is easier to notify in advance and we will agree on it.

If you have more than one package…

If you send several packages, in case of their joint delivery, we always calculate a discounted price from one address to one address.

We already give a unique price for more than three packages, we classify it as a move. From this, the calculated fee will not be more expensive, but cheaper, as if we were calculating the prices for the packages separately. You can read more about our moving service by clicking here.

More shipments can be delivered at a discount price!

Contents of the packages

Due to border crossings, the contents of the packages must be specified when ordering the delivery. It is enough to use collective words (e.g. clothes, children’s toys, kitchen utensils, etc.), it is not necessary to list everything item by item. The sender is responsible for ensuring that the contents of the shipment correspond to the contents announced in advance in writing.

The consignment must not contain dangerous, illegal or excisable products.

In the case of special content requiring individual treatment, e.g. painting, artwork, musical instrument, tv, monitor, etc. consultation is necessary so that we can carry out the transport without damage. See special shipment delivery.

Pick-up status of packages

Shipments will be received in a sealed state. The consignment must not contain dangerous, illegal or excisable products. The courier is entitled to check the contents of the consignments before the sender at the time of collection – this is done on a random basis.

Forbidden things

The consignment must not contain a dangerous, illegal or excise product; and there are things we do not undertake to deliver.  You can read a list of this by clicking here.

Damage

We do not use a conveyor belt during our deliveries, we do not reload shipments to other cars if possible. It is usually delivered by the car that picked it up. We try to deliver directly, thus minimizing the possibility of possible damage. But they travel for a long time among other packages, whatever can push, and the vibration due to the quality of roads, road conditions, railway crossings, lying police, potholes is a real source of problems.

Proper packaging is the basis for damage-free shipping. The packaging is a guarantee for the integrity of the objects, and the possibility of damage can be minimized with the appropriate packaging. In the case of parcel delivery, both in terms of the outside and inside of the parcel, in the case of other objects, tools and goods, in terms of the outer packaging.

Shipping insurance

Our company has CMR insurance (Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road) and forwarding insurance and we do our best to transport everything intact.

Anything can happen on the road, so for unforeseen events, if the value of the shipment so requires, we recommend taking out separate transport insurance. It is possible to conclude this through us or individually. In case of concluding through us, the fee depends on the value of the goods. We can make an individual offer for this after consultation with the insurer. Due to different needs, we recommend contacting the insurer directly where they can make a personalized offer.
